Group Classes

AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class
Next Class, Wednesdays July 10th 6:00pm
6 week class teaching your dog manners and social skills. Loose leash walking, public greetings, sit/stay and down/stay, recall, supervised separation, and off leash training are some of the things your dog will learn.

AKC's CGC Test by Certified Evaluator
Open to the public, 1st Sunday of every month,

Therapy Dog Training Class
Next Class, Sundays June 2nd 10:30am
5 week class teaching your dog greetings, manners, and acclimating to medical equipment. We provide classroom training and onsite hospital visits. Therapy dogs provide a service to the community through volunteer work at hospitals, assisted living homes,and programs for developmentally disabled children and adults.Therapy Dog International (TDI)Test by Certified Instructor

Board and Train

Let your dog spend a few weeks at Ruff House Pet Resort! In addition to group play and exercise, guests receive daily private lessons, with a dedicated trainer. Our goal is to build a solid training foundation through correction of bad behaviors and rewards for good behavior. Guests receive positive reinforcement, motivation, conditioning and social skills during group play. Upon check-out customers observe a lesson that includes details for follow up and scheduling of your final at home review lesson!

Canine Manners "Brush Up" Lessons

Canine Manners is a popular training program offered during boarding. Guests choose the number of days their dog is trained during his stay and which specific manners they want taught. Our certified trainers work with guests one-on-one and in a group to ensure they are learning good manners; no jumping or pulling on leash, sitting before meals, door crashing, walking nicely on leash, and barking only when appropriate.

Camp and Train

Camp and Train provides an opportunity for guests to socialize while training. During training camp, guests will play in a group and learn appropriate social behaviors. Camp and Train includes day care and training with homework assignments for the owner and a final check-out lesson. This program allows customers interaction with our trainer and lets you see the progress of your dog on a daily basis.

Private Lessons

A trainer will meet with you to discuss your dog's behavior issues. You'll receive one-on-one lessons working on specific issues that are relevant to you and your dog's needs. Help with housebreaking, excessive barking, door crashing, jumping on people, and off leash training are some of our most common requests. We are skilled at advanced training issues and will be glad to discuss your particular needs or concerns. Private lessons will help you build a strong bond with your dog and provide guidance and direction specific to your needs.

We offer private lessons at Ruff House Pet Resort or in the convenience of your home. Prices vary depending on location and proximity to our office.

Puppy Lessons

Puppies need a basic foundation and a structured routine to develop good habits. Dogs form habits at a young age so early training is important. Puppy lessons include; temperament assessment, house breaking, biting/chewing, separation anxiety, crate training and basic do's and don'ts. The best thing you can do for your puppy is to provide him with the basic tools for a successful and long life.

Puppy lessons are offered in the convenience of your own home.

*Requirements: (puppies must be 8+ weeks of age and have at least the first 2 sets of shots.
